Deckhand
We’re looking for a personable, hard-working & confident deckhand for our passenger vessels, helping to provide vital boating services between the islands for residents and visitors.

Department: Tresco Boat Services
Reporting to: Head Skipper
Salary: From £12.25 per hour, dependent on experience
Hours: 40-48 hours, with 2 days off per week
Contract Length: Seasonal, March - October (dates can be flexible)
Duties Include
- Assisting passengers on and off vessels in a safe and controlled manner
- Selling tickets, collecting fares, and handling money
- Lifting luggage on and off vessels multiple times a day
- Maintaining a clean and tidy vessel
- Report/answer to the Skipper
Our Ideal Candidate
- Confident and able to give clear instructions
- Able to work under pressure
- Have good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Willing to undertake a DBS check
- Able to work with honesty and integrity
- Willing to work a rota pattern which in summer includes early starts, late finishes & weekends
- Maintain and clean and tidy appearance
