Department: Tresco Boat Services
Salary: From £12.25 per hour, dependent on experience
Hours: 40-48 hours over 5 days per week
Contract Length: Seasonal, March to October
Closing Date: 31st January 2025
Duties Include
- Co-ordinating transfers to and from the island; regularly liaising with boatmen, Isles of Scilly Travel, Penzance Helicopters and our land transport team
- Updating multiple daily boating schedules
- Processing information for bookings, arrivals and departures
- Dealing with customer transport queries in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Dealing with daily banking and processing customer payments
- Other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the transport administration department
Our Ideal Candidate
- Will easily learn new computer software and be fully competent in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Must have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant, professional telephone and email manner
- Should be a confident and efficient problem solver who can understand the impact of tides and weather on boating
- Willing to work weekends and longer days at peak times
- Good at working as part of a small team in a close office environment
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
