Department: Tresco Boat Services

Reporting to: Boating Office Manager

Salary: From £12.25 per hour, dependent on experience

Hours: 40-48 hours over 5 days per week

Contract Length: Seasonal, March to October

• Co-ordinating transfers to and from the island; regularly liaising with boatmen, Isles of Scilly Travel, Penzance Helicopters and our land transport team
• Updating multiple daily boating schedules
• Processing information for bookings, arrivals and departures
• Dealing with customer transport queries in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
• Dealing with daily banking and processing customer payments
• Other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the transport administration department

• Will easily learn new computer software and be fully competent in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Must have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant, professional telephone and email manner
• Should be a confident and efficient problem solver who can understand the impact of tides and weather on boating
• Willing to work weekends and longer days at peak times
• Good at working as part of a small team in a close office environment
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
