Café, Retail and Deli Assistants
We're looking for energetic and personable retail assistants to join our friendly team in the Tresco Island Stores, Lucy Tania Boutique and Abbey Garden Café and Shop for our 2025 season.
Join our team for the 2025 season, with live-in hospitality and housekeeping opportunities for couples and friends on Tresco Island and at Hell Bay Hotel in the beautiful Isles of Scilly.

Department: Tresco Stores, Lucy Tania, Abbey Garden Café and Shop
Salary: From £12.25 per hour, dependant on experience
Hours: Full Time, with 1.5-2 days off per week
Contract Length: Seasonal, March - October (dates can be flexible)
The Role
We’re seeking enthusiastic Cafe, Retail, and Deli Assistants to join our friendly and dynamic team for the 2025 season. If you’re flexible and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, this role is for you!
You’ll be the face of our vibrant café and retail spaces, handling cash tills, managing service points, and ensuring every guest has a warm and memorable experience.
Your responsibilities will also include receiving deliveries, stock handling, and keeping shelves well-stocked and displays fresh and inviting.
You’ll have the chance to use your creativity to merchandise selling spaces and drive sales through your excellent customer liaison skills. With a flexible approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety, you’ll help us keep things running smoothly and efficiently.

Our Ideal Candidate:
- Hard working, enthusiastic and self-motivated with great attention to detail
- Comfortable working as part of a team, and taking direction
- Adept at working under pressure and enjoys a challenge
- Cheerful and confident communicator
- Willing to undergo further training and take on flexible responsibilities as required
- No specific training is required. Some of our retail spaces have a café on site, so some barista/café experience is a bonus; however full training will be given
