Tresco Abbey Housekeeper (Permanent)
This is a rare opportunity to make a move to Tresco as the housekeeper of Tresco Abbey, maintaining exceptional standards for the family.
Duties Include
- The focus of the role will be on the cleaning and general upkeep of the house - the home is relaxed and quite informal, although high standards must be maintained
- Responsibility for the personal laundry of the family and keeping good stocks of linen
- Reporting any faults or maintenance issues to the Abbey Handyman or the Services Department
- Responsibility for flower arrangements in the house, using fresh flowers provided by the vegetable gardener
- Helping the Abbey team in other capacities when required through the summer, e.g. helping with catering for large gatherings
Our Ideal Candidate
- Must have good initiative, be self-motivated & work well without supervision
- Should be experienced in housekeeping and household management
- Should have good discretion and a strong work ethic
- Able to work to a flexible schedule and willing to work additional hours when required
- Will be able to prioritise a list of jobs as well as being proactive in developing regular schedules to work efficiently
- Available to start immediately
