Gardener - Tresco Abbey Gardens (Permanent)

Salary: From £24,500 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work

Duties Include:
We are recruiting for a passionate Gardener to join our Abbey Garden team. The role will involve looking after one of the most unique and fascinating gardens in the UK, tending to plants more commonly found in subtropical climates and unseen anywhere else in the British Isles.
- General cultivation duties including watering, feeding, planting, training and pruning
- Lawn maintenance and strimming
- Routine use and maintenance of machinery
- Working at height
- Labelling and record keeping
- Maintaining Health and Safety records appropriate to the role
- Answering enquiries from the public
- Helping with and giving guided tours
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified to RHS Level 2 or higher
- Driving Licence (Essential)
- PA1/6 Spraying Certificate (Desirable but not essential )
- Chainsaw ticket (desirable but not essential)
