The Cottage
Cocooned within a cluster of woodland, Smugglers is a peaceful, secluded retreat. Its traditional décor and quintessential cottage feel will suit those who remember childhood holidays on Tresco. As night falls, stoke up the log fire and relax in the snug lounge.
Smugglers has ample garden space, with an enclosed lawn ideal for playful family afternoons, and a courtyard garden hidden behind the property.
Our Favourite Thing
The ‘secret’ gateway from the back of the garden, through the trees, and out onto the banks beyond. Discovering this sea view will blow you away.

Smugglers is rurally situated, with some epic coastal and woodland walks extending out from the property. The Ruin Beach Cafe is under 15-minutes' walk from the property.
Facilities
Our cottages are well-equipped with a comprehensive inventory, which includes kitchen appliances and equipment, bathrobes, hair dryers, and an outdoor BBQ with tools. Bathrooms come complete with 100 Acres shampoo, body wash and hand soap.
This property comes equipped with a dishwasher. There is no washing machine at the property, however laundry facilities are available centrally with a small cost payable per load.
The Location
Trek the rolling dunes above Blockhouse, Borough, and Pentle beaches – there are plenty of benches en route for stopping and admiring the views.
Blockhouse Castle will soon become a favourite haunt – just a short scramble away, providing an incredible panorama from Tresco’s northern tip across St. Martin’s, the Eastern Isles, and St. Mary’s.
