The Cottage

If you're looking for an idyllic island escape overlooking the ocean, with views of the harbour and distant isles of the archipelago, then look no further than Lighthouse Cottage.

Sitting on the waterfront at Old Grimsby, just moments from the watersports centre, Ruin Beach Cafe and Sea Garden leisure facilities, Lighthouse sleeps 8 - 10 people in four individually designed ensuite bedrooms and a snug, all enjoying stunning sea or garden views.

Downstairs, there's a gorgeous open-plan kitchen with an island breakfast bar leading onto the dining room. Doors from the kitchen/diner and sitting room open out onto various outdoor seating areas overlooking the landscaped garden to the rear and the bay to the front. Enjoy breakfast watching the sunrise over the Eastern Isles across the harbour, lunch on the rear terrace, and sundowners gathered around the firepit in the lush garden.

The airy and light living space continues with a hallway, utility and shower room leading to a snug - perfect for the kids to play, watch television or for additional sleeping space on the fold-out bunk and chair bed.

Upstairs, the master bedroom enjoys breathtaking views from the bed through the full-height doors onto the balcony overlooking the harbour. The vaulted ceiling gives a wonderful sense of space and makes the most of the natural light. Take a soak in the ensuite bathroom while gazing out of the window as the sunset casts a glow across the bay.

The second and third bedrooms also enjoy stunning sea views, with the third bedroom also featuring a private balcony - perfect for a morning coffee. Bedroom four, while facing the rear of the property, is far from the poor relation, enjoying views of the garden across to the open countryside beyond.

Outside, the lawned and landscaped rear garden features a firepit - perfect for cosy summer evenings with friends. There's also a paved seating area with direct access from the kitchen for barbecues and outdoor dining. The front garden is laid to lawn, but with a wooden decking area and raised seating space overlooking the ocean just yards away.

The Sea Garden spa facilities, with their indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and tennis courts, are just a few minutes' walk away.

On the Doorstep

The Ruin Beach Cafe is just a few footsteps along the shoreline, as is the Sailing School. An indoor pool and tennis court are both close by too.

Our cottages are well-equipped with a comprehensive inventory, which includes kitchen appliances and equipment, bathrobes, hair dryers, and an outdoor BBQ with tools. Bathrooms come complete with 100 Acres shampoo, body wash and hand soap.

The Location

Truly beachfront, Lighthouse is just footsteps away from Raven's Porth beach, and mere metres away from the Ruin Beach Café and its glorious shoreline sun terrace. Also nearby is Green Porth beach - a favourite with sea swimmers.

An indoor pool & Jacuzzi, tennis courts and the Sailing School are all within striking distance, as is the north end and its wild heather-bound tracks.
