Tresco: the perfect place to retreat to...
The beautiful surroundings, the peace and the slower pace of life make Tresco ideally suited to all things wellness and there are plenty of opportunities to experience it...
There a range of retreats taking place throughout the year and whilst they are the perfect chance to hone skills or spend time doing something you love, they are also one of the best ways to experience Tresco.
The tutors we work with are experts in their craft and have longstanding relationships with Tresco, having taught for several years in many cases.
Whether you'd like to book a solo trip and focus on something you love amongst the beauty of Tresco, or come together with friends and experience the island as well as partaking in yoga, art or photography, the options are endless.
Tresco Retreats
Below is a taster of what you could be part of this year and next...

Lucy Aldridge has been teaching yoga on Tresco for many years and her experience and tuition is second to none. She knows the Tresco landscape and specialises in Iyengar yoga which can be particularly beneficial to the over 50's given it's focus on precision and alignment. Her October retreats are the perfect chance to rest and reflect and there are dates on offer for both this year and next so book now
Restorative & Spring Awakening
Gem Hansen is a Bryher local and offers classes throughout the year, however her retreats offer a greater chance for peace, relaxation and restoration. Gem teaches fast moving Vinyasa as well as Somatics and Restorative - above all, her classes are tailored to what you need and the practices you seek. She will be offering restorative retreats over the winter and a spring awakening in April 2025
REWILDING WITHIN
Esmée Halliday will be returning to the island in March 2025 with her Blockhouse retreat. The dancer turned yogi and cold water swimming enthusiast will be hosting a wellness experience focused on relishing in simple pleasures, spending time in and amongst nature, and unearthing a more authentic way of being
Painting
The island has a longstanding relationship with the excellent Newlyn School of Art, which has gained a national reputation for providing short art courses taught by many of the most respected artists working in Cornwall today. The artists hosting our breaks all know the islands intimately and have exhibited their work at Gallery Tresco many times. These courses offer a broad and free approach to landscape painting and are the perfect way to experience the islands
