Why is Tresco the perfect place for 100 acres products?

We’re all about bottling the beautiful herbs, flowers and fruits of the British Isles. That’s where the name 100 Acres comes from! Our products are a bottled incarnation of the incredible botanical beauty that we have in Great Britain – think rolling green meadows, gorgeous walled gardens, sprawling wild herb bushes, rows of fragrant lavender and scented roses…

Tresco is renowned for its utterly beautiful flora and fauna and the Abbey Garden is of course one of *the* most beautiful gardens in the whole of the UK! So it’s a wonderfully natural, well-matched partnership between Tresco and 100 Acres – we like to think that a bottle of 100 Acres is the next best thing to being in the Abbey gardens themselves. The perfect thing for guests to take home to be instantly transported back to Tresco.

How did the partnership come about?

We’ve been in love with Tresco for a very long time -the gardens are just second to none and are a total 100 Acres haven. If we could design a dream garden, it would look like Tresco Abbey Garden with its gorgeous arches and luscious greenery. We had always thought what a wonderful partnership it would be, and when Tresco approached us, we jumped at the chance. With such similar ideas, lifestyles, aesthetics and ethos’ behind behind both brands... some partnerships are just meant to be!

What is unique about the products and what makes them a special addition to the Tresco holiday experience?

If a brand claims to be bottling a hundred rolling acres of heavenly countryside...the scents have to deliver! As a brand, we’re known for our incredibly rich, distinctive fragrances.

We spent years crafting them – they are remarkably potent, fresh and moreish: the sort of scents you just want to keep on smelling over and over because you can’t get enough of them. Every single bottle of 100 Acres is packed with fragrance oils distilled directly from flower petals, fruit rinds and herb foliage; we are very strict about using only 100% natural botanical fragrance oils because, as founders, we strongly believe in using only plant-based, non-toxic, kind to skin nourishing ingredients. We stay well away from anything questionable (parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, phthalates, etc).

We include very high percentages of our botanical oils, which is admittedly very expensive for us (hence why very few brands do it!) but it’s absolutely worth it as you can quite literally smell the richness of freshly pressed flower petals, or just-squeezed orange rind in our fragrances.

We also make all of our products here in the British countryside, in small, super-fresh batches. We love that we’re supporting British industry and it’s far more sustainable this way too, because not only does this mean each bottle of 100 Acres is super fresh and fragrant, it also means we have no product wastage.

We hope that each gorgeous bottle of 100 Acres is like a little golden extra to each Tresco stay. A place so beautiful demands products to match, and we know that our products do their very best to equal what a special place Tresco is. Not only does 100 Acres turn a shower or bath while staying on Tresco into a totally heavenly scent experience…having 100 Acres in your own home after a stay will instantly transport you back and make you eager to go again.
