The season is here
March has been full of sunshine and smiles as new and returning staff join us for the season and the island grows busier once again...
There has been a real buzz about the island in recent weeks as we reawaken after winter. Our seasonal crew have started to arrive in all areas of the island and it has been lovely to welcome them - both old faces and new! The sun has been shining and the days are slowly getting longer; we are ready for the season ahead!
Most notable, has been the launch of our first ever Festival of Wellness. It was a brilliant success with an incredible range of expertise on the island, from yoga and breathwork to floristry, seaweed skincare and cold water therapy. The majority of therapists and practitioners were from Scillonian shores and those who visited immediately got stuck into island life! Thank you to all who took part in our events - we hope you will join us next year for an even bigger and better festival!

One particularly busy day was Sunday 16th where we hosted the first Makers Market of the season, Tresco & Bryher Gig Club held their first Row in a Gig sessions of the year, and island bin man Sam carried out an island beach clean. It was the perfect spring Sunday (with plenty of sun cream being passed around!) and it was lovely to see the whole community out and about in different shapes and forms.

In other news, it has been wonderful to have The Ruin Beach Cafe back. Once again, the air has been filled with delicious wood-fired aromas and it is a true sign of spring!
The New Inn has also been treating the island well with beautiful evenings complete with orange glow and delicious Sunday roasts (that on the Sunday just gone, sold out in record speed!)
Finally, the gardens are looking splendid thanks to the spring blooms and their magical colours, but also due to the winter spruce up of the Garden Cafe. A small team put in an incredible effort and we are so excited for you to see it.
