In Memoriam

Barbara Culverhouse enjoyed over twenty years of holiday happiness on Scilly. This ranged from paddling in the sea, swimming and snorkelling with the fishes and the seals to bird watching and drawing. She really enjoyed the cafes and restaurants, picnics, and walking. Tresco Abbey gardens and boat trips were a favourite. We have a timeshare of Pearl on Tresco. We both felt it was the most perfect place in the world to relax and recharge our batteries. Barbara was able to enjoy being an artist for the last five years after retiring from a finance and law career. I have her drawings, photos and paintings of Tresco and other islands to reflect on and enjoy in the future. Barbara Culverhouse died peacefully in her sleep on 31st August 2014, aged 57.
