Quentin Martin

Quentin Martin, b.1996, is a painter and architectural designer. Working mostly in oils, his subjects include mainly landscapes, still life and people. It is the variety of subjects which attracts Quentin to paint in the Scilly Isles. From the harsh rocky landscape to the softness of the way in which the fog rolls in over the white sand beaches, Quentin has, for more than 15 years, reciprocated with the multitudinous environments and their equally wide-ranging weathers. Seeking out dramatic compositions or celebrating individual moments is what Quentin looks for in the Scillies - filling the canvas with a bruising sky or the monumental architecture of its rocky peripheries.
