Scilly 60 Tide Race
Spectate (or even participate?) as runners take part in a half marathon with a Scillonian twist...

The Tide Race - a brand new event for 2024 from Scilly 60 Events - will see runners circumnavigate the neighbouring islands of Tresco and Bryher on a 21km trail run. The catch? They have to run between them at low tide! Take too long and they'll be cut off and unable to reach the finish line.
Starting on Tresco, runners will wade across to Merrick Island, halfway across the channel, before returning to Tresco and running the whole coastline of the island. By this point, the tide will have dropped, and the crossing to Bryher should be almost dry. A loop of Bryher follows before a crossing back to the finish line on Tresco - if the tide hasn't cut them off!
