Drop by anytime for artisan bakes, freshly brewed teas and coffees, laidback lunches, or a crisp glass of organic wine in the sunshine. As evening falls, join us for drinks, light bites, or our ever-popular Tapas Suppers - crafted daily from the best local produce.
We’re passionate about working with local growers, bakers, farmers, and fishers. Every dish we serve celebrates seasonal ingredients and honest provenance - whether it’s Bryher Bake Box cakes, Abbey Garden mint tea, or our rich, smooth espresso blend from Origin Coffee in Cornwall.
Daytime is for brunches that stretch into the afternoon, relaxed moments over coffee and cake, and delicious seasonal plates with a view.
Evenings bring a more intimate vibe, with sunset drinks and a menu that changes with the tides. Our Tapas Suppers are rooted in what’s fresh, local, and inspiring our chefs each day.
Make a Booking
Booking with Us
There’s no need to book during the day or for evening drinks and nibbles - just drop by and make yourself at home.
For our Tapas Suppers, we do recommend booking ahead, as space is limited and these evenings are popular. You can book groups of up to 4 people online; please call or email us for larger groups.
Feeling spontaneous? Give us a ring or pop in - we often have room, especially on fine evenings when we can open up the doors to the terrace.
As a small venue, last-minute cancellations can really impact us, so if your plans change, we’d really appreciate it if you let us know. You’ll find our full terms and cancellation policy below.

Daytimes
Mornings at The Flying Boat begin with the smell of fresh pastries, Bryher Bakes, or a warm bacon brioche bap, paired perfectly with Abbey Garden mint tea, a fresh fruit smoothie, or our rich Cornish Origin coffee.
Take your time over a leisurely brunch and explore our seasonal, locally sourced menu - perhaps baked St Ewe eggs in a spiced tomato and rose harissa ragù, or a comforting Charlotte potato, pea and ham hock hash.
We’re open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am - 2 pm, and there’s no need to book - just drop in.

Tapas Suppers
Our Tapas Supper menu changes with the seasons and whatever our trusted local fishers and farmers deliver. You’ll always find a delicious selection of small plates designed to share - or pick a couple plus a side for a more traditional main-style meal.
The menu is a true celebration of local produce: think Cornish crab arancini, butterflied Mount’s Bay mackerel, Charlotte potato tartiflette with Baron Bigod Brie, or slow-cooked organic Cornish lamb shoulder. Our wines are organic, and desserts are simple, seasonal, and beautifully local.
Tapas Suppers run Thursday to Saturday through July and August. We strongly recommend booking, but if you're feeling spontaneous, do give us a call or drop in - we often have space, especially on fine evenings.

Sunset Drinks & Nibbles
Evenings on Tresco are made for sunsets, sea breezes, and something chilled in hand -and our Drinks & Nibbles offering is the perfect way to soak it all in.
We’ve curated a small but thoughtful selection of wines, ciders, spirits and craft beers, working with our favourite producers from Scilly, Cornwall and beyond. Whether it’s a crisp white, a coastal gin, or a bold local brew, it’s all chosen to pair beautifully with lazy summer evenings.
To nibble, there’s a tempting spread - mixed olives, roasted salted cashews, or St Agnes air-dried beef with cornichons and pickled shallots - just enough to satisfy or perhaps spark an appetite for more. If the mood takes you, let the team know - we’ll always try to find room for you at our Tapas Supper.
There’s no need to book for Drinks & Nibbles - just drop by Thursday to Saturday evenings through July and August, and settle in as the sun dips into the sea.
