2013 Archaeology Holidays

All holidays will be lead by resident expert Katharine Sawyer, who has an MA in Archaeology & Anthropology from the University of Cambridge and is currently carrying out research on the Scillonian entrance graves and cists for a PhD at the University of Exeter. Her interest in all things Scillonian also extends to birds and sub-tropical plants.

Archaeology Breaks 2013 at Hell Bay

Monday 7 October to Friday 11 October

Prices start from £730 per person, based on two sharing, and include

  • return flights from Land's End to St Marys and transfers to Bryher

For all holidays you are advised to bring comfortable walking shoes or boots, a waterproof jacket and trousers, a sunhat and/or sunprotection and a pair of binoculars.

Please bear in mind that there is no transport on most of the islands and whilst walking is not strenuous we will cover up to five miles some days. In addition, visits to the uninhabited islands will involve beach landings by dinghy. You should therefore have a reasonable degree of fitness and mobility in order to enjoy these holidays to the full.
