Hypnotic views across Tresco’s Great Pool, the turquoise shallows of an outdoor pool inviting you in, shadowy woodland trails just a few minutes away. Quirky Wigeon is a family-friendly cottage with plenty to offer.

The Cottage

Wigeon’s quirky layout spans across one floor and makes the most of the cottage’s green surroundings. A comfortable lounge overlooks the Great Pool and its surrounding bank of reeds. Beyond the lounge spreads kitchen and dining nook, made light and airy due to high ceilings and skylights.

Three welcoming bedrooms encircle the living space – one with its own double patio doors, flooding the room with afternoon sunlight. A further patio at the front of the property is ever-ready for wine-fuelled lunches or morning coffees.

The Location

Wigeon is conveniently placed close to the central island amenities – hire bicycles from the Bike Shop to explore the island on two wheels or pop to Tresco Stores to pick up brunch supplies. Also nearby are both outdoor and indoor pools, keeping leisurely dips on the agenda whatever the weather.

The incredible Abbey Garden is a short stroll away – chose to follow the coastal path around Cliff Fields, overlooking Samson and Bryher islands, or take the shady route down the Abbey Drive and start plant-spotting during the journey.

Our Favourite Thing

Waking up to the sound of whispering reeds as a gentle breeze crosses the Great Pool.
